This beta privacy notice explains what Kept collects, why we collect it, and how you can leave. Final legal wording is pending counsel review.
What we collect
If you connect a financial account, Kept receives read-only account and transaction data through Plaid. We also store your profile settings, categories, notes, reports, beta feedback, and basic usage metadata needed to operate and secure the app.
What we do not do
Kept does not move, hold, transfer, or withdraw money. Kept does not sell your financial data. Plaid access tokens are encrypted before storage and are not included in user data exports.
How we use data
We use your data to sort activity, estimate set-aside targets, generate tax-time packets, secure your account, debug beta issues, and improve the product. Beta feedback may include the page path and your browser user agent so we can reproduce issues.
Delete and export
You can export your data from Settings. You can also delete connected account data from Settings. Audit records may be retained where needed for security, compliance, and abuse prevention.
